Sensory-Inclusive Access Symbol

Whenever you see the Sensory-Inclusive symbol, you know that the event or performance is specially designed and adapted to provide for an inclusive experience for individuals of all ages and abilities. The symbol is intended to be used in marketing and promotional materials in the same way as other standard access symbols. It was developed by the Miami-Dad County Department of Cultural Affairs and shared here with their permission.

Social Narrative Template

Social narratives are simple stories that visually represent social situations and appropriate social behaviors. The social narrative focuses the individual’s attention on only the key details of a situation. It can support understanding and performance. The narrative typically tells the individual what the appropriate behavior is (i.e., what it looks like in concrete terms), when the behavior should be displayed, and for some learners, why this is the appropriate response. This template is provided by Hocus Focus, Inc. and the Center 4 Creative Arts.
